A.R.T. Active Release Techniques Provider Dublin
Active Release Techniques
This treatment is a hands-on case-management system that allows a practitioner to diagnose and treat soft-tissue injuries. Mainly muscles, tendons and ligaments but also with ART I can resolve problems related to fascia and Nerve Entrapments throughout the body. With ART the patient plays an active part in the Treatment for a number of reasons:
- They Clients feel more in control of the treatment process. This Lends comfort to the patient and allows the patient to modify treatment speed and position according to the perceived response to treatment.
- The active motion more closely simulates the requirements of the soft tissues in normal movements. These requirements include the relative motion between tissues and the Neurologic feedback that controls motion.
- The active motion causes Neurologic perception of movement and position which causes an impulse to pass through an internuncial neuron to the Lateral Spinal Thalamic Tract that modifies pain impulses. This simply means that the perception of pain is diminished making the treatment more comfortable.
